How to play

A free, original arcade chase with 12 levels. You are a speedy little rabbit: cut back sharply and the puppies skid right past! Grab carrots, lead the pups into ponds, ice and mud for bonus points, catch power-ups (including a short Super Rabbit) and sprint home to the burrow. No sign-up.

1. 1Pick a level. Steer the rabbit by dragging a finger anywhere on the field, moving the mouse, or using the arrow keys or WASD. You always run; you only choose where.
2. 2Collect the carrots (and survive the timer on timed levels) to open the burrow, then run home to finish. Dogs are faster than you but slow to turn: wait until one gets close, then cut back sharply and it will skid right past. Close calls build a score multiplier.
3. 3Press the Dash button, tap with a second finger, click the mouse or press Space for a quick hop forward. It recharges over a few seconds.
4. 4Lead the dogs into ponds, mud, ice, hay bales, bumpers and springs for bonus points, and sometimes a power-up drops. Other power-ups appear at random: Shield, Turbo, Magnet, Snooze, Decoy carrot, Super Hop, and a short Super Rabbit that bonks a dog out of the way. Everyone is fine afterwards.
5. 5A tag from a pup is just a Boop! You lose one of your 3 hearts and get a moment to run. Earn up to 3 stars per level for finishing with hearts to spare and plenty of style, and clear a level to unlock the next. Your stars are saved on this device only. Pause any time with P or the pause button.

Hairpin Hare is an original game made for GNOUP. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or based on any other game or franchise. The rabbit and the puppies are cartoon characters drawn in code, the sounds are made in your browser, and nobody is ever hurt: a tag is a soft boop and a bonked pup is just dizzy for a moment.

Score is just for fun: there are no prizes, no purchases and no real-money play, and no ads inside the game. Your stars and sound preference are saved on this device only.
