UFO Blaster
A free, original arcade space shooter with 12 levels and 3 giant boss UFOs. Fly your little rocket, pop colourful cartoon UFOs, grab shields, speed boosts and weapon power-ups, and set off the Star Nova to vaporize every UFO around you. Plays full screen on a computer or phone. No sign-up.
Mouse or WASD to fly, hold to fire. Shift or Q fires your stored Star Nova. P pauses, F goes full screen, M mutes. On a phone, left thumb flies and right thumb aims and fires.
How to play
A free, original arcade space shooter with 12 levels and 3 giant boss UFOs. Fly your little rocket, pop colourful cartoon UFOs, grab shields, speed boosts and weapon power-ups, and set off the Star Nova to vaporize every UFO around you. Plays full screen on a computer or phone. No sign-up.
- 1Pick a level. On a computer, move with W A S D or the arrow keys and aim with the mouse; hold the mouse button or Space to fire. On a phone, use your left thumb to fly and your right thumb to aim and fire (it fires while you drag).
- 2Pop enough UFOs to clear the level. Levels 4, 8 and 12 end with a giant boss UFO: dodge its attacks, look for the moment its shield drops, and keep firing. Bosses take a lot of hits.
- 3Collect the glowing badges the UFOs drop: Shield (blocks 3 hits), Speed, Rapid fire, Spread shot, Laser, Homing missiles, Magnet, Time Slow, Extra life, Energy, and Double points. Your blaster uses energy, but it refills by itself, so you can never get stuck.
- 4Grab the star badge to store a Star Nova. Press Shift or Q (or tap the star button) to send out a huge ring that pops every UFO close to you. Bosses take big damage from it but do not vanish.
- 5You have 3 hearts, and a brief safe moment after each hit. Pop UFOs quickly to build a combo multiplier. Earn up to 3 stars per level for clearing it, for a high score, and for finishing without losing a heart. Your stars are saved on this device only.
- 6Press F or the full-screen button for full-screen play (Esc or the same button leaves it). P or Esc pauses; M mutes.
UFO Blaster is an original game made for GNOUP. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or based on any other game or franchise. The rocket and the UFOs are cartoon characters drawn in code, the sounds and music are made in your browser, and nobody is ever hurt: a UFO that is hit just pops into sparkles.
Score is just for fun: there are no prizes, no purchases and no real-money play, and no ads inside the game. Your stars and sound preferences are saved on this device only.
